Fix that small bottom gap fast!

Every once in a while, a topper may not sit perfectly flush against the bottom of your frames. Why doesn’t it always happen? Who knows. We don’t bend them here because it’s not always needed.

While this is uncommon, it’s also one of the easiest things to fix. The top will be offset 1mm because of the magnets this is not noticeable.

In fact, the adjustment usually takes less time to perform than it does to read these instructions.

Why Does a Gap Happen?

The magnets on metal frames are not recessed, the top part is about 1mm set off of the frame because of the magnets. Sometimes they still hug the bottom. Sometimes they dont.

The good news is that a simple adjustment will usually solve the problem immediately.

Before You Start

The most important thing to remember is:

Do not bend near the magnets.

The magnets and adhesive are designed to hold your topper securely in place. When making adjustments, you’ll want to support the topper near the magnets so that no flexing occurs in those areas.

Step 1: Hold the Topper Properly

Hold the topper gently with your fingertips near the magnets.

Your fingers should support the topper so the magnet areas remain stable and do not bend or flex during the adjustment.

Step 2: Make a Very Slight Bend

Just below where you’re supporting the topper, apply a very small bend.

The goal is to encourage the bottom edge of the topper to move slightly closer to where your frame sits.

Step 3: Repeat Across the Topper

Make the same slight adjustment on:

  • The left side
  • The center
  • The right side

Small adjustments in multiple locations work much better than one large bend.

Step 4: Test the Fit

Place the topper back on your frames and check the fit.

If there’s still a small gap, repeat the process with another very slight adjustment.

Most toppers only require one or two small tweaks before they sit perfectly flush.

That’s It!

Once adjusted, your topper should hug the frame much more closely and provide the clean, finished look it was designed to have.

If you’d like to see the process demonstrated, watch the video below. Seeing the adjustment performed usually makes it instantly clear how little movement is actually required.

Think gentle. You’re making a tiny adjustment, not a major reshape.
