How to Replace or Repair Magnets on Your Topper
At Topper Addicted, we want your toppers to last as long as possible. While magnet issues are rare, they can happen from time to time due to drops, flexing, wear and tear, or simply the realities of everyday use.
The good news? We have several options to help get you back up and running quickly.
Option 1: Ordered Within the Last 30 Days?
If your order was placed within the last 30 days, we'll replace the affected topper at no charge. Simply reach out to us, and we'll take care of it.
Option 2: Replacement Magnets
If it's been longer than 30 days, we can send replacement magnets for just 10¢ each plus shipping.
Many people are surprised to learn that shipping magnets costs more than shipping most small items. Magnets must be packaged in a way that's safe for postal sorting equipment, which means the shipping cost is often about the same to ship a single magnet as it is to ship a pair of toppers.
Pro Tip: If you're already placing an order with us, ask us to include a few extra replacement magnets. Since we're already shipping a package, there's no additional postage cost.
Option 3: Send Them Back to Us
If you'd rather not perform the repair yourself, you're welcome to mail your toppers back to us. We'll repair or replace them and send them back to you.
You would be responsible for postage both ways, which typically runs around $12 round-trip. Because of the shipping costs involved, this option usually makes the most sense when you have several toppers that need attention.
PRO TIP: Don't pay Post Office Prices! Contact us and we can set up a "return label" that we can e-mail you the postage for and you'll get our discounted postage rate, which is usually about $2.00-$2.50 less than paying at the post office. Bur really - this only makes sense if you have several that you want repaired.
Coming Soon: A Better Way
We're currently exploring a new program that would allow customers to receive one replacement topper per month for only the cost of postage — no questions asked.
We're still working through the details, but we're excited about the possibility and hope to announce more information soon.
Watch the Video Before You Repair
If you're replacing magnets yourself, be sure to watch the video below first. We'll show you how to safely remove and replace magnets while making sure they're aligned perfectly with your frames.
A few extra minutes spent getting the alignment and magnet polarity right can save a lot of frustration later.
As always, if you run into any problems, reach out to us. We might not always get it right, but we'll always make it right.
